Glimpses of river life
Victoria Lobregat
Lobregat's work for Glimpses of river life at Maitland Regional Art Gallery is a series of paintings related to the Hunter region, envisioned since moving to the area five years ago. In this body of work, she is an observer. Lobregat looks at the river as a central theme, linking together various colourful, sunlit images of Maitland, weaving them in with recurrent themes of decorative motifs and a sense of the spirit for the place.
