Pipsqueak!
for kids aged 2-5
and their parents or carers

Wednesday mornings 10:30am - 11:30am
Cost: one-off visit: $8 members / $10 non members,
or for all 8 sessions $56 members / $70 non members

In this workshop, little ones and their carers work together, but one carer can bring along 2-3 children and support the littlest one. Pipsqueak! Is held weekly for 8 weeks of classes commencing 28 July and concludes 15 September 2010 Pipsqueak! is a special art workshop just for little ones. Children work with their parents or carers towards creating an artwork inspired by an artwork currently on display or one from the MRAG art collection. This workshop builds motor skills and creativity whilst encouraging bonding between adult and child. All materials are supplied. <more>

Art Tuesdays
for kids aged 6 12

Tuesday afternoons 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Cost: $96 members / $144 non-members. All materials supplied
8 weeks of classes commencing 27 July 2010 and concluding 14 September 2010

Art Tuesdays is an after school class for creative kids. Inspired by Nest an exhibition by Tom Kearney and Michelle Gearin, students will learn a wide range of techniques and use diverse materials over 8 weeks of lessons and will employ techniques used by the artists. Over the course of the term a variety of new projects will be introduced and completed. The students will learn about perspective, composition, colour, texture and scale. Techniques to be explored will include stenciling with spray paint, collage, tracing and transfer with carbon paper. <more>
