Autumn 2023 – Exhibition opening event (Auslan sign interpreted)

Maitland Regional Art Gallery warmly invites you to join us for the official launch of the Autumn program, including a traditional Torres Strait Island Song and Dance performance and four exhibitions:

In celebration of the opening of Mir Giz Kemerkemer Opged Lam Zenadh Kes (Stories from Eastern Islands Torres Strait), artist Toby Cedar accompanied by the Mui Mui Bumer Gedlam (Deep Sounds From Home) dance group will perform a traditional Torres Strait Island song and dance.
Joining us will be exhibiting artists Rita Watson and Selinda Davidson from Ninuku Arts (SA), along with Laura Baker and some friendly faces found in the MRAG Collection.
- 5.30pm – Doors open
- 6.00pm – Guests welcomed
- 6.30pm – Mui Mui Bumer Gedlam dance performance
- 8.00pm – Event closes
